Spending a day in Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen

Copenhagen has become dear to my heart, and every time I visit, Tivoli Gardens seem to summon me too.
This 19th-century amusement park, situated right in the heart of Copenhagen, is an incredible attraction, for locals and tourists alike.

All the information you might need (ticket prices, available rides, restaurants, etc.) can be found on Tivoli’s website here.

If you take few steps forward, as you walk in through the main entrance, there is a large field, with a stage on the left hand side. This is were any major events, such as theatre, dance, and even concerts take place, with beach seating available throughout summer to relax in.

As you stroll further into the garden’s grounds, you’ll come across a variety of beautiful places and exciting rides you can avail of, either with one time payment or with your appropriate Tivoli pass. There’s a section dedicated towards The Orient, as well as the Orangery and the Aquarium. The fountains in front of The Nimb are also a sight to behold.

The amount of rides available in Tivoli is astounding. From the classical carousels, and kids friendly train rides, to thrilling roller coaster.

After all the rides, if you’ve built up an appetite, there are over 60 venues offering food, drinks, and snacks within the garden’s grounds. Whatever tickles your fancy, chances are you’ll find it at Tivoli, the selection vast. My recommendation however is Churros! A great little snack to try as you go about your day exploring the gardens.

I don’t want this post to turn into a book, because I could spend the whole day talking about Tivoli, go into detail about every single ride and venue available. That’s not feasible, however. It wouldn’t be kept up to date and I’d be repeating exact same info you can find on their official website.

What I want to do, however, is to convey the feeling of how much fun this place is, for kids and adults alike. The place offers so much that every time I visit it (and it’s been a few times at this point), I discover something new each time. And each time I enjoy it even more than before.
