With its centuries-old stone cities, beautiful coasts and beaches, as well as mountainous regions and forests, it’s no wonder Croatia continually ranks high on the list of countries to visit.

Croatia’s varied geography contributes heavily to its diverse weather.

Its coastal side tends to experience Mediterranean climate – hot, dry summers with temperatures up to around 30oC and mild but wet winters.

Its continental part however, tends to have colder winters, with some snow precipitation in the mountain regions.

With this typical European weather pattern, Croatia’s peak visiting months are between June and August. Travellers visiting few months before and after the peak can still avail of the warm and sunny days, while months of November to March might provide opportunity for skiing activities in certain parts of the country.
