Planning a cityscape or a weekend getaway in Gdańsk? Check out this charming, industrial styled hotel, one with a lot to offer, while simultaneously not breaking your wallet.

Dwór Uphagena
Situated towards south-east of the city, its location is an ideal spot for a quiet stay but within a walking distance of city’s centre and its main attractions. The old city is only a 20 minute walk away, the same amount of time it took to get to the hotel from the airport via taxi (Uber cost a little over 40 zlotych, which equates to approx. 10 euro). Approximately the same distance away was the train station and even a little closer to the tram.
The style of the hotel is one of my favourites. It occupied a former factory buildings, the studio rooms continuing to carry that industrial style with them, topped with slick, neon designs – absolute perfection.

I was in absolute awe with this hotel. A weekend stay costed approx. 70 euro for 2 people. This included an access to sauna and gym. The reception is open 24/7, so I did not have any trouble checking in in the middle of the night. Every personnel I interacted with was friendly and very eager to help. There are additional facilities you can avail of for an additional fee – they offer spa services as well as dining options within their own kitchen.
Another additional service available is ‘Maglownia’ bar. It offers a vast drink and pastry selection, it was my first and my last stop of the day during the visit.

If you’re looking for a bit of food variety, there are numerous amazing restaurants located just around the Dwór Uphagena you shouldn’t miss out on! You never have to look far to find what it is you’re looking for.
This is a place I definitely plan to go back to next time I’m in the city, and I’d recommend adding it to your itinerary, if you’re planning a visit.
